I'm a mod and proud of it!  Though I do prefer faceless anonymity.  :) It makes it far easier to be a complete bastard.

I already have everyones email addresses (at least the ones they registered with) but I haven't recorded them. That would be weird and cyber-stalky.

With the permission of individual members I am happy to be a centralised repository for a contact list in in the event of catastrophic failure of the forum. It's been at least six years that we have been trading views. It really would be a shame to lose contact...

Anyhoo, it should be voluntary so all those that wish to be notified of a new gathering point in the event of a catastrophe should PM me with consent to spam.

Otherwise, I won't include you in any phoenix-like rising of this little splinter group of the mighty GHPC in any new forum.

Love youse all. :wink_kiss:

You can contact me.

Can notify me.

If Anders doesn't respond I will go to his house and check, because I watch his every movement via google maps. It's not stalky, it's a feeling of brotherhood.

No one person can be the central suppository of contact lists, not unless that person lives in a bunker, under a mountain, far from a major population centre...wait ....SC should be fine.

Am I right in thinking that our part in the scheme of things (financial, political, economical, etc) might be getting too close to the bone??

Chastise us certainly, but take down our medium of exchange is just the lowest of the low.

Can you tell that I'm simply glad we are back on the air; - so to speak.

I miss you guys!! :phone1:

Good to see we're back on air. Is the bubble done yet? :)

Oh yes it is! At least according to Armstrong:

Hi staringclown - can you add me to the list of survivors who will repopulate the forum after any apocalypse.

Perhaps we should also send sperm/egg samples to SC to aid the repopulation efforts.

Mine is already in the mail.

The Vanilla Pudding Robbery

Once inside the bank shortly after midnight,

the thieves efforts at disabling the security system

got underway immediately.

The robbers, who expected to find one or

two large safes filled with cash & valuables,

were surprised to see hundreds of smaller

safes throughout the bank.

The robbers cracked the first safe's

combination, and inside they found only a

small bowl of what looked like vanilla pudding.

As recorded on the bank's audio tape system, one robber said,

'At least we'll have a bite to eat.'

The robbers opened up a second safe,

and it also contained nothing but vanilla

pudding. The process continued until

all safes were opened.

They did not find one pound sterling,

a diamond, or an ounce of gold. Instead,

all the safes contained covered little

bowls of pudding.

Disappointed, the robbers made a quiet exit, each leaving with nothing more than a

queasy, uncomfortably full stomach.

Next day the newspaper headline read:

'IRELAND'S LARGEST SPERM BANK

ROBBED EARLY THIS MORNING'...

I've got yours. But I wish you'd sent it in liquid nitrogen rather than just a pair of your old undies.   ^_^

I have been getting that warning for months using Opera. So I don't think it is any immediate change to the site... where art thou RumpledElf?

It is a recent change as it wasn't happening before. Now, I can't even access this site at work using any browser (other than Tor) as their firewall settings are blocking this site altogether.

There are two possibilities. Either this is a phishing site or someone has reported it as such.

I've run nslookup and the site resolves to 50.116.14.185

The same IP as photographicdictionary.com which I think is another site run by RE

nslookup resolves to linode.com. This is a Linux cloud hosting site in the US.

I'll send RE a mail asking if this is where SS is hosted.

It would seem extreme to bother spoofing a minor forum for the limited amount of passwords that could be retrieved. It would also require a DNS cache poisoning attack to direct traffic to the spoofed front page. But you never know. As tor says don't use a common password with other sites. If they get your password they can get into your profile. If you have your home email they can use that I guess to find other sites you might frequent and if you use the same password then they can possibly get more info.

The conspiracist in me says don't insult Trump...

You can report phishing sites to google from this link. It's that easy. I've asked google to remove this site as I don't think it has been compromised. But I will ask RE to confirm.

Below is a link from google as to what phishing is.

And how to protect yourself. Both links are copied from the google site.

Has anyone contacted RE about this.

Could it be something to do with the ad banners that now come up at the start of accessing the page.

I've changed passwords, but the warning would suggest that there would be some phishing to obtain these rather than simply hacking login details.

I'm confused as to why it all of a sudden, started to do this.

The warning appears to be generated from Google. Do other search engines throw up the same?

Hi Sol,

I've mailed RE and am awaiting a reply. I'll let you know when/if I get one. All browsers (that I know of) report the same message.

Anyone can report a site as a phishing site to google. See my previous post. It was probably reported maliciously.

RE has the server access so can report the problem to her provider and check more thoroughly.

I haven't used this site for years ... and can't log in to the admin section because of the damn phishing alert - its coming up as "hacked content detected". Google is reporting the home page and the government policy thread as phishing. The site is horribly out of date and I can almost guarantee my email address is wrong as all my addresses went the way of the dodo when I moved to Sydney. Enough people report it as an error (link on the bottom of the popup page) it'll probably go away, presidential election has ruffled some feathers.

I work for a security company at the moment. The irony. It burns.
