we'll get a good idea on the value for money the NBN really offers

New 5G mobile is already 12 times faster than NBN

Surely you'd get a few grand for the NBN at a garage sale.

The Telstra plan is $200 pm for unlimited speed and download. Of course it will come down in price and eventually NBN will become like a home phone.

A couple of years after all the Telcos and their resellers are flogging 5G plans, the prices will be the same as current 4G ones, but for much faster speeds.

Those where 5G is available will not pay $0.02 for NBN. Just watch how they'll have to drop the NBN plans to be competitive.

That's $50b+ that could have been much better spent.

I don't think 5G is necessarily safe. I'd rather it not rolled out.

In terms of frying your brains with high emissions?

Will you be jumping on this anti-science bandwagon as well?

I don't blindly jump on any wagon blindly. I let a trend of facts speak for themselves, with history as any guidance where possible.

If the facts don't match the theory, the theory is wrong and not the other way around.

Otherwise, I'd be a religious zealot, which you seem to fit the bill rather well.

I'm an atheist. A trend of facts eh? You wouldn't know a fact if it punched you in the face.

So which side are you on chief?

Until proven otherwise, I'm with 5G technology being Ok.

BTW, have you received communications from your Dept of Settled Science as to why we're getting so much of the ever disappearing white powdery stuff, almost 20 years after they projected otherwise?

What is wrong with you?

A cold snap and you think it affirms your anti science religion.

Sorry no citation. I read an article recently that said 5g is safer for brain frying than older tech.

One wouldn't. Lots of records around the world that fly in the face of that most settled science does!

Can you do some extensive personal testing and let us know the results?

NBN update...

They  upgraded the net here. It's now around 20, so around twice as fast as before. But it just cuts out completely for a few minutes a few times a day.

I have heard (gossip/rumour/hearsay) that 5G is just the tip of the iceberg.

Telstra, have already identified that there will be 6G, 7G and possible even an 8G before the end of the next decade.

It is apparently built on a platform to allow easy transition to new levels of speed and reliability.

There seems to be a race between the telecommunications industry and razor blade manufacturers; 5G? I'll show you a 5-blade razor!

I wonder what the innovation geniuses will think about next...
