Welcome to Simple and Sustainable!

Simple (adjective)

not elaborate or artificial; plain: a simple style.

unaffected; unassuming; modest: a simple manner.

not complicated: a simple design.

not grand or sophisticated; unpretentious.

Sustain (verb)

to keep up or keep going, as an action or process: to sustain a conversation.

to supply with food, drink, and other necessities of life.

This forum is intended as a discussion forum for matters relating to living a more sustainable life. This forum is quite new and will get fleshed out more over the next few weeks.

Forum rules

Forum guidelines are quite simple:

  • No personal attacks.
  • No racist attacks.
  • Keep the bad language to a minimum.
  • No duplicate accounts.

Posts will be edited at the discretion of the site moderators to keep content to these guidelines. People suspected of having a duplicate account will be banned or suspended with the onus on them to prove otherwise.

Try and keep the discussion civil and constructive please. If you are posting a news article from another website, post a summary or short excerpt of the article and just link to the original article. Please don't post the full text of an article from another website.

Use the "report post" feature to report any posts you feel falls outside of these guidelines.

The moderation selection policy I've used on other forums in the past has simply been signing up anyone who volunteers and seems a good choice for the job - either off-the-cuff or when a call for moderators is put out.

Seems this topic had got out of sync with the one you see on the front page of this site, so just synching them up and pinned this one so its easier to find.

Also added the "no duplicate accounts policy". If you're unfortunate enough to have been banned, and need to appeal, it'll be pretty obvious how to do it.

And be aware of the banned email policy. I fairly regularly pull in known spam email addresses onto the banned list, if you are using one of them, you can't sign up. Sorry, no options there other than simply using a different email address.
