The other day we were discussing how many households got more from the government than they paid. Here's the facts:

Is household income pre or post tax?

1346 pre tax

- 301 tax

= 1045 post tax

20% of pre tax is 269 a week from government, of post tax is 209.

Either way I guess it is not much more than 20% in government handouts for the median family income to be break even.
